I am a Stampin' Up! Manager and Team Leader for the Fabulous Creative Escape Artists. I have been a demonstrator for 13 wonderful years. I love being a stay at home mom of two and being able to share my love of stamping with others. I am so excited to share what I love with you.
For this week's UDI inspiration challenge I went with the colors. I used Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, and Tempting Turquoise. Be sure to check out what the other talented UDI team members did this week.
I celebrated by birthday at the annual Stampin' Up! convention this year! What better way is there except with family? One of my downline, Kristin, made me this beautiful card and gave it to me at arougn 5:30am when we woke up. I love the colors and how she cut out the Elegant Lines embossed print.
Awards night was on Thursday night and I was full of nervous excitement! I got #7 Rising Star!! That means I was in the top 15 of the company for first year demonstrators!!! Can you tell I am still jumping up and down and don't quite believe it? Thank you to all of you who helped me get here! I could not have done this without the support from my customers and downline. Now I get to join the other Rising Stars and the top 100 demonstrators in the company to an all expense paid trip of spoiling in southern Utah in September! I can't wait to come back and share the excitement of convention with all of you. More pictures will come, they are just not on my camera.
I love the Aviary Stamp set. Here is yet another swap for convention. I love the Tempting Turquoise piece. I used the new Elegant Lines embossing folder to enhance it. I used the color coach to pick my three colors and the Color Spritzer tool to add my Tempting Turquoise over the birdcage.

I have the hardest time coming up with masculine cards. This is a swap I did for convention. As soon as I saw this stamp, On the Green, in the a la carte section of the new catalog I knew I HAD to have it. My father in law is a BIG golfer and now I can use this stamp for him.

I LOVE these Stamping 411 sketch challenges because they are simple but give you tons of inspiration! July is the month of anniversaries in our family. My sister and her husband just celebrated their 8th anniversary on the 6th. We will see them in August on vacation and I said they would get their card then. I had one made already but when I continued with this sketch I ended up making a different one that I like even better. Their last name begins with a "G" and the hearts represent the 8 years of marriage. I used a patchwork idea on the background strip and then ran it through the Big Shot to emboss it with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. I used the new color coach to come up with my color combination knowing that pink needed to be a color because it is my sister's favorite. Thanks for the sketch that helped spark my creativity.
I am having so much fun with the new Stampin' Up! colors!! I LOVE them! Here I used Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Concord Crush. I used markers to color it in. I love that there are colors so close together. I used the slightly darker shade of each color to shade my image.
TIP: I have decided to organize my colors differently and so far I am really liking it. Instead of putting color collections together I am putting like colors together (ex. all shades of red, all oranges etc.) This way it is so much easier to see colors in the same shades from light to dark. It made it really easy for this project to pick highlighting shades.
Here is the order that I have chosen to organize my colors: Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Early Espresso, Basic Gray, Basic Black
Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Rose Red, Real Red, Poppy Parade, Riding Hood Red, Cherry Cobbler, Bravo Burgundy
For this UDIinspiration challenge I made a card for one of my downline that just promoted. What is more fitting than Stampin' Up!'s statement of the heart? I used my new color coach for my color combination of Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy and Riding Hood Red. I used my markers for the stamp to highlight important words. Be sure to check out what the other UDI team members came up with this week.
Keep Stamping, Supplies: Stamps: Statement of the heart (only available to demonstrators) Ink: Crumb Cake marker, Not Quite Navy marker Paper: Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla Other: Big Shot machine, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Heart to Heart punch

I had so much fun on the UDI inspiration challenge this week. I used the NEW Friends Never Fade stamp set and my Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist markers to make this card. To line it up I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I added a little bling in the middle with Filigree brads. I used my Builder Wheels to make the stars down the left side. I put my one wheel in and used my wheel guide to line it up each time I rolled it. Be sure to check out what the other UDI team members came up with this week.
