Rub-On Votive

I found these retired rub-ons in a drawer and had this clear glass votive laying around. I decided to play with it. I love how it turned out. It took about 2 minutes to do and adding a white or cream votive will really make the brown rub-ons pop. If you have not tried these, I would highly recommend them. You could make some very quick, unique and inexpensive Christmas gifts this way for co-workers, volunteers, teachers, etc. You can find the rub-ons in the 2009-2010 catalog on pages 176-177. There are also some in the new Holiday Mini Catalog! Make sure to check them out and see what you can come up with.

Playing with Tumbled Tile

I was playing with a tumbled tile that you can buy at your local hardware store. I used a decor element as well as rub-ons(retired). I added a ribbon (Dusty Durango Polka Dot Grosgrain) for color. I also sponged on Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, and some Garden Green. This would be for display instead of use but it turned out so pretty.

TIP:Make sure you rub well when adding the decor elements and rub-ons because of the ruts and bumps in the tile.

Mojo Monday on Wednesday #92

I saw this Mojo Monday sketch and could not wait to try it. However, you can see I took some liberties with the sketch. I used a few tools I have not used in a while like the color coach to pick my colors. I also used some rub-ons. I also took out one of my oldies but newbies, my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up these trees.

Playing with Rub-Ons

I have had the Hidden Garden Rub-ons and have been waiting to play with them. I used the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and the flower and thank you are the rub-ons. They were so easy to use and I can't wait to play with them some more.
