Stencils and Shimmer Paint

I wanted to play some more with the shimmer paint so I made another Top Note box in Basic Black. I used my stencil and my champagne mist shimmer paint. To add the finishing touch, I added a red square fire rhinestone brad in the center. The shimmer paint shows up so nicely on black.

3-Drawer Organizer

I have seen this project done using the matchbox die from Stampin' Up!. I don't have that die yet so I thought I would try my hand at creating it on my own. Here is what I came up with. Once I had the measurements I wanted, the project went fairly quickly.

Stencil Tin

I thought I would try a Stencil Technique on an aluminum tin and it worked! I used my stencil and inked it on the tin with my Ruby Red Craft pad and sponge dauber. I put Glassy Glaze enamel over top and heated it up to make sure the ink did not smear. I used my handy dandy Crop-a-dile to punch two holes in the tin and added ribbon! I can't wait to add a Christmas gift!

He Who Has the Most Tools

I love UDI's Inspiration Challenge picture this week! My dad is a very "handy" man to have around and any time he visits we work on something around the house. I grew up with Mr. Fix-It and now love being able to fix things on my own (sometimes). To make the silver hammer and wrench, I put Versamark pad all over my paper and then embossed in silver. I layered 3 or 4 times and then stamp your image in the Versamark pad and stamp onto the layered embossing while it is still hot. Let it cool and cut out your image. Very Cool! Crimped Envelope

This is a very easy way to give a gift card or smaller card. Take a medium envelope and seal it. Cut off the top and move it to the side. Stamp your images and then take the crimper and crimp your envelope. Now the top will fit right on the top. To make the ornament I used the Oval Scallop Punch. Punch out 3 images and fold them in half and stick them together and adhere to the envelope.
