Simple Mother's Day

Mother's Day will be here before we know it so I have gotten a few cards ready in requests for workshops. This is one of those cards using Upsy Daisy and Elegant Eggplant. To shadow the flowers, stamp one time and then without stamping back into the ink, move the stamp slightly to the right and stamp again. I always say that each stamp pad stamps in three colors.

Red and Black Gifts

Here are the three gifts I made to go into the box. I think this will be a great gift for the next workshop hostess I have. It was so easy to make. I covered a notepad, altered a jumbo paper clip and made a matching pen.

A Tisket a Tasket a Black and Red Basket

Well, it is Thursday and that means another UDI inspiration challenge! I had so much fun with it this week. I saw the red and black with flowers and dreamed of the project. You never know when you will think of something. I did no stamping on this project but used the Big Shot ALOT! The bag is actually the Fancy Favor die and I lined it up so it would not have the scalloped edge at the top. Then I used the Scallop Circle die to cut out the black and the Polka Dots embossing folder to emboss it. The flowers were cut out using the Flower folds die and then I adhered them together and ran it through the Big Shot using the texture plates. It is hard to see here but I used the paisley one. I added a little bling by using a filigree brad in the center of the flower. The flower is attached with mini glue dots. I used the Crop-a-dile to punch holes on the sides of the box where I could thread my Real Red satin ribbon through and knot it to make my handle. Check back tomorrow to see what I made to go in the bag! Be sure to check out what the other UDI inspiration team members came up with this week.

Princesses and Punches

We went to Disney World right before Christmas this year so now I am beginning to scrapbook our trip. I decided to try to use my punches to make some of the characters. Here are my first four princesses. You have Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. It truly is amazing what you can do with a few punches!

Bottle Cap Necklaces

I have learned from my friend Ami that bottle cap necklaces are all the craze with girls right now from elementary school through middle school. Here are some samples of bottle cap necklaces using our products. I have loved making these. The bottle cap you see on a necklace above is just one way to wear it. The other way is a choker, I am waiting on mine, and the bottle caps are magnetized so you can swap them in and out. I can't wait to get downstairs to make some more! I will be holding a class at my home on March 6 at 10:00am. Space is limited so make sure to let me know you are coming ASAP! Children under 8 years old need to have a parent with them during the class. If you need more information please e-mail me at stampinmom11@gmail.com.

Mini Milk Carton Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day! I thought I would do a quick post showing what my 3 year old daughter and I made for her classmates at Mom's Day Out. We used the Mini Milk Carton die and Lorin stamped all 14 of them and wrote her name. She picked out the lollipops she wanted and cranked that Big Shot 14 times to cut out her flowers with the flower folds die. We had so much fun stamping downstairs together. She is a future demonstrator in training.

Easter Goodies

I have loved these little holders for the new Mini Milk Carton die. I got the measurements for this box on another blog and I can't for the life of me find where I wrote it down. Please let me know if these are your measurements so I can give you credit. I know I measured 2 squares 3 1/2"x3 1/2" and scored 7/8" on each side to make the boxes that the milk cartons fit in. I used Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive to glue them together after inserting a piece of card stock in the middle and punching a "handle" with our small oval punch. I decorated the sides with Shades of Spring DSP and our Scallop Trim Border punch.
