A CASEd Christmas

At Founder's Circle I got a great swap and decided to change some of the stamp sets but kept the rest of the card the same.  I LOVE this Christmas card.  I love how the colors work together, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Real Red.

News From Stampin' Up!

  • Because of unusually high demand for our Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (available in the Holiday Mini, item 120809), there is a possibility that we will deplete our inventory within the next week, and we will be unable to order more. If you want this DSP make sure you order it soon so you don't miss out.

Great news! The Watercolor Wonder Crayons are now available for purchase. As we mentioned in a previous current update, the Watercolor Wonder Crayons were delayed due to a relocation of our supplier. We now have inventory and you can start ordering today!
When you and your customers receive your Watercolor Wonder Crayons, you may notice that some of the crayon sleeves feature old artwork on them. This does not affect the quality of the crayons; we simply need to deplete inventory of crayons with the old artwork before we use crayons featuring the new artwork.
Use the following item numbers to purchase your Watercolor Wonder Crayons:
  • 120949 New Color Kit
  • 119802 Subtles
  • 119803 Regals
  • 119804 Brights
  • 119805 Neutrals
Thanks for your patience!

Day of Gratitude: Let me count the ways

Day of Gratitude is one of my favorite stamps sets right now.  I am going to miss it when the Holiday Mini Catalog is finished.  These are some great samples that I received from some very talented demonstrators at my Founder's Circle Trip back in September and I realized I had not shared them with you yet.  I hope they inspire you.

Emboss Resist Christmas

For my clubs we have been doing a technique book this year.  This is one of our club cards for the month of November.  We did a technique called, emboss resist.  Lovely as a Tree is such a classic.  I love it!

Emboss Resist:

  • Stamp image with your Versamark pad
  • Sprinkle Clear Embossing powder over top and shake off
  • Heat the embossing powder using your Heat Tool
  • Pick a color(s) of your choice and using your sponge daubers, rub the ink over your embossed image
  • This will make the image really "pop" and then take a tissue and wipe off excess ink off your image and you are done!

UDI Inspiration Challenge #121

This week for the UDI inspiration challenge I decided to get an Old Olive colored mug.  I know they did that just for me.  I used the Christmas Definitely Decorative pieces in the Holiday Mini Catalog to add the presents to the mug.  I made this for my brother's girlfriend who I met for our "Fakes"giving on Tuesday and added some chocolate bars wrapped in a cello bag just to make it better.  What is better than chocolate?  I mean, really.  Be sure to check out what the other talented UDI team members came up with this week.

Enjoying the Clearance Rack

So I am also enjoying the clearance rack online at my store.  I got the Riding Hood Red striped ribbon and the chocolate gift bags at a great price.  These are great bags for gift giving.  I added a stamped image from Tags Til Christmas on the bottom and it is ready to go.  Make sure you go shopping at the clearance rack online HERE.  It is a great place to find gifts for you and your friends and family.

Thanksgiving Place Settings

This week for the Hand Stamped Sentiment's challenge we had to use these colors, Pear Pizzaz, More Mustard and Cajun Craze.  I LOVE these colors!  This is great for Thanksgiving and is so natural.  These are the colors around my home.  I am having family for and early Thanksgiving this coming week because my brother can't make it to "real" Thanksgiving.  I wanted to do something a little different so I made name tags with my favorite stamp set, Day of Gratitude and the Autumn Spice DSP.  I am so happy with how they turned out.

UDI Inspiration Challenge #120

When I saw this UDI inspiration challenge the first thing that came to my mind was Thanksgiving and family.  I have been seeing these beautiful 8x10 frames that other crafter's have done and wanted to try my hand at them.  These are the colors I have in my home and I now have this frame sitting on a side table in my dining room.  I LOVE how it turned out and I plan to make more.  What great gift ideas.  You can make it to match any decor or any one's personality.  Be sure to check out what the other UDI team members came up with this week.

From Fall to Winter

I am not wishing fall away because it is my favorite time of the year.  However, this card just said winter is coming.  I love this sketch challenge this week from the Stamping 411 blog.  I used the Blueberry Crisp DSP and the emboss resist technique with Crumb Cake.  I made a faux bow with a brad and Very Vanilla 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon.

Last Halloween Post

Just wanted to post one more time about Halloween.  My two kids were dressed as clowns in costumes that my mom made my brother, sister and me years ago.  They looked so cute and brought home 10.2 lbs. of candy!  I know I never ever brought home that much candy.  To add to the excitement we also adopted Jackson to our family. He is a 16 month old, 85lb. yellow lab..  Now we have our 2 kids and our 2 dogs (11year old border collie mix and Jackson).  Our house is never dull.

HELP: We have decided to change Jackson's name but can't think of the perfect fit yet.  We would love to hear any suggestions you may have to come up with the perfect name for him.  He is BIG, easy going, and quiet.

The Ornament Punch, Oh My!

I LOVE punches and all the things you can do with them.  I have some workshops coming up and I am using the Ornament punch on one of our projects.  I came up with this punch sheet to show the versatility of the punch.  As you can see, it is not just for Christmas.  A few of these ideas were original but many were copied from other demonstrators.  All are very creative.
