The Cutest Skeleton?

I saw this idea using the circle punches in our Stampin' Success magazine (monthly magazine you receive when you are a demonstrator) and had to try it. I used Cast-a-Spell DSP with the Batty for You stamp set. The background is done with the Color Spritzer Tool and the Elegant Eggplant marker. It gives an airbrush affect. The skeleton is cut out and covered in Dazzling Diamonds glitter with googly eyes. It was popped up with a pop-up glue dot. This is the card we are making for my Halloween Treats Class.

Razzleberry Birthday

Yesterday was my sister's 29th birthday. This was the card she got from us. Her gift was the Upsy Daisy stamp set, so I had to show her a card she could make with it. I love this idea using Orchid Opulence and Rich Razzleberry. I saw this idea on Stamper's Showcase by Brenda Zeddun. I used the same colors but tweaked it a little bit. Orchid Opulence is a color I rarely use but now with the Cottage Wall DSP (Designer Series Paper) and Rich Razzleberry I am using it more often. Happy Birthday Kym!

My Stamping Space- Updated!

This is looking from my stamping room into my new classroom. The picture is taken from the stairs looking down.

Here is my personal stamping space. I love it. This is a dream come true!

My Big Shot table and my paper bookshelf have now been moved behind my work table. It makes it much more convenient. I just have to remember it is there.

This is looking from my desk to the back of the room. These curtains cover storage under the stairs. Again, the door goes into my stamp classroom.

Sweet Treat Mojo

I had so much fun making this card. I knew as soon as I saw the mojo sketch that I wanted to use the Sweet Centers stamp set that will be available on September 1st. I turned the sketch and flipped things around a little but it is the same idea. I saw a card on the Stampin' Pretty blog that Mike made. I loved the idea he came up with to allow a piece of card stock to slide out to let the candy out of the cup. I took the same idea and used it with this card. As you can see in the picture, you don't have to tear the card apart to get to the candy.

Changing the look?

I am playing around with a new look. I am undecided. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Do you prefer the old or the new? I am still learning some things to try to make this blog even better. I look forward to hearing from you.

Flower Pot Inspiration #58

I have been wanting to make this flower pot card since I first saw it. This was a great opportunity to get it done. I saw the flower pot in this UDI inspiration challenge and went for it! It was very easy to do. I did things a little different than the tutorial. I cut out flowers from the Petal Pizzazz stamp set instead of using the flower dies for the Big Shot and did not use any DSP.

Halloween Fancy Favor Bag

I think this bag will be a part of my Halloween Treat class coming up in September. It is such a great teacher gift or party favor. The bag was made using the Fancy Favor die for the Big Shot machine. I used the Cast-A-Spell Designer Series paper. The tag is a sneak peek item from the Sweet Centers stamp set that will be available for purchase on September 1st. It is a MUST HAVE stamp set. It is so versatile and will be a great addition to your stamp collection. I used the 1 3/4" Circle punch to punch it out and used a mini library clip to attach it to the bag and to hold the bag together.

Cottage Wall Explosion Box

My upline, Rene, came up with the measurements for this Explosion Box. For those of you coming to class on Thursday, this is the actual box we will be making. It makes such a difference when you add the pictures. I love the idea of Black and White pictures because then no colors are competing with each other. This has been such a hit and I can't wait to teach you how to make it.

Playing with Tumbled Tile

I was playing with a tumbled tile that you can buy at your local hardware store. I used a decor element as well as rub-ons(retired). I added a ribbon (Dusty Durango Polka Dot Grosgrain) for color. I also sponged on Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, and some Garden Green. This would be for display instead of use but it turned out so pretty.

TIP:Make sure you rub well when adding the decor elements and rub-ons because of the ruts and bumps in the tile.

Finished Stamp Classroom (For Now)

Well, we have finished and I have cleaned up the stamp classroom. It is finished for now because we still have things to do. Ceiling, cover hot water heater, put in baseboard, finish stenciling, add 12x12 pages to the walls, etc. I love how it turned out and I am so pleased with all the space my customers will now have. We will be using the classroom for the first time on Thursday at my Explosion Box class. I can't wait to see reactions.

Posting later today

Check back later today for a post. I have been stamping and need to wait until nap time to upload photos and get a picture posted. I promise, there will be something posted everyday this week. I am getting back into the routine after construction and parents visiting. Thanks for continuing to check back.

Halloween Decor Pot

Oh the things you can do with Decor Elements! I bought this orange flower pot at Walmart and touched it up using the Spooky Expressions Decor Elements (117568). The Decor Elements are so easy to use. They are kind of like rub-ons. I will be adding my Halloween candy to this pot. This is a project that took about 5 minutes at the most. Be sure to check on the Decor Elements Brochure on my right sidebar. Think about creative ways you may be able to use them.

Stenciling

Here is just a quick sneak peek of some stenciling I am doing on the walls of the stamp classroom. I LOVE these Stampin' Up! stencils. They are beautiful, easy to use, and quick. I am even doing it on concrete walls and it is working like a charm.

More Classroom Pictures

Okay, Mom and I had a ball last night setting up some stuff in the classroom. As you can see there is a lot more decorating to be done. That is the really fun part but it will come more slowly. The hot water heater is also showing. That will be covered eventually as well as the ceiling. We will have new lights and baseboard later as well. Not everything will be done this visit from my parents. We all have been working non-stop and the shed is the focus. It will be done before my parents leave so all my husband's toys will have a space.

Keep Stamping.

Carpet is in!

The update is that we got the carpet in today. Mom and I are going to start setting up some stuff tonight after the kids go to bed and will hopefully have some more pictures for you tomorrow. I am so excited! I promise to start stamping again by the end of the week. I want to make sure I am posting samples daily. I appreciate you hanging with me while all the work is going on. This is really going to be worth all the effort. It looks great!

Stamp Classroom Update

Sorry I have been missing. We have been working around the clock to get the shed built and my classroom ready to stamp in. The walls are up in the shed and my stamp class has drywall that has been plastered, sanded and painted. All I have left with paint is the door trim! Today I hope we can get the carpet put down. Check back later for updated pictures! Once the carpet is in, the decoration (the real fun part) can begin.

You Sawed and you Fixed

My parents are coming this weekend to help on my stamp space and my husband's new shed! My dad is a civil engineer and a handy man to have around. I was brought up fixing and building. I love when they come to visit! This is a card I made to thank him for helping us yet again. I love how it came out. I was actually inspired to make this card by the Mojo Monday sketch this week. I did not use the complete sketch but this is what I came up with.

Inspiration Challenge #56

Another Thursday, so another UDI inspiration challenge. I took the rose idea and colors for this challenge. For the rose I used the Fifth Ave. Floral stamp set. I embossed it in black and then used the aqua painter in Real Red to watercolor it. I used the Versamarker over top and sprinkled Glassy Glaze over the top and heat set that as well. That is what is making the rose shiny. If you would like a list of supplies, please e-mail me. Life is crazy in the stamp room right now with construction happening. I am posting in any free minute I have when I am not painting or drywalling or plastering. Just to name a few things.
