UDI Inspiration Challenge # 128

Happy New Year's Eve!  I loved the UDI inspiration challenge this week.  I used the Cheers for You stamp set and made a no layer card.  I used my Stazon pad and colored in with my markers.  I added a little paper piercing to the bottom for a little extra something.  I actually made a set of these cards for a great friend of my Mother-In-Law who is always thinking about my children when she is out.  This was her Christmas present.

I hope have a wonderful time ringing in the New Year and that your 2011 is better than ever!  Be sure to check out what the other UDI team members came up with this week.

Homemade Candle

This candle and beautiful packaging was given to me as a gift this Christmas from Valerie who is a club member and now a Creative Escape Artist team member.  She did a beautiful job and I was so touched to receive it.  Thank you so much Valerie.  I love it!

Create a Cupcake Present Card

I made this card for a Founder's Circle product swap recently.  I can't wait to share the creative ideas that i got back.  I decided to make my card like a package and had a removable top to it.  I am really tickled with how it turned out.  I love it when I can get creative.

Sneak Peek: Take a Spin

This is a sneak peek of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I used the Take a Spin stamp set.  I love it.  This is a swap card I made.  I can't wait to share the cards with you when I get them back.  What you can't really see in the picture is a sparkly background.  I used my spray bottle with my champagne shimmer paint and rubbing alcohol.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!  I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.  I thought I would post what I made for the kid's teachers this year.  I made a purse, post it note cover, note cards and fudge of course.  You always need chocolate.  The cards are made using a sneak peek of a Sale-a-bration stamp set.  Be sure to look for getting it FREE at the end of January.

UDI Inspiration Challenge # 127

I am loving the UDI inspiration challenge this week.  We love Santa around here and every year, after Thanksgiving, the kids go and sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they want for Christmas.  They get their picture made and I frame it and add it to the past years pictures up on our shelf as we decorate for Christmas.  This was a tradition for my husband's family and we are continuing it.

I am starting to make a scrapbook page to put out in a 12x12 frame in the kitchen for each season.  This is the page I put together for Christmas this year.  These are pictures from visiting Santa last year.  As you can see my son, Andrew, was not happy.  This year we had no tears as he was on Santa's lap.  I love the memories.

Be sure to check out what the other UDI team members came up with this week.  Have a very Merry Christmas!

Decor on Cards?

These were the cards I made this month for my November's top 3 in sales.  I love how they turned out.  I used the rest of my Christmas Decor Elements.  Who says you can't use them on cards or scrapbooks?  They can be used EVERYWHERE!

Tealights and Tin

If you are someone who love candles or know someone like that this is an easy and inexpensive gift to make.  I used roof flashing that I bought at the big hardware store.  I sent it through the Big Shot using the Fancy Flowers die.  Then I sent it back through the Big Shot in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  I attached it all with Mini Glue Dots and added a tea light candle.  This was another project we did at my Christmas gift class.

Got Birthday?

This is a simple birthday card I made for a card class I am holding.  I love the colors of Tempting Turquoise, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz.  I used the Got Treats stamp set as well.  That stamp set has not seen much love so I had to take it out and play wiht it.  This may also end up being my Father-in-Law's birthday card since his birthday is right after Christmas.

Topped Fancy Favor Gift Bag

This was the last project we did at my Big Shot Club on Thursday.  I LOVE this bag using the Fancy Favor die for the Big Shot.  I saw the idea on Dawn Olchefske's blog.   I knew I was going to use this idea.  It is fantastic.  I made mine ready for Valentine's Day.  Who wouldn't love this bag, filled with chocolate of course?

UDI Inspiration Challenge # 126

For the UDI inspiration challenge this week, I went with the candles, as you can see.

I have stamped on candles before but it never entered my mind to stamp on tea light candles until I saw  Jill's blog.  Jill is a fellow demo that I got the pleasure of meeting at Founder's Circle.  We bonded as we went repelling in Yankee Doodle Canyon.  She is fantastic and so are her ideas.

This is a project we made in club last month.  Notice I tied our cello bag with fabric?   Love the fabric.

TIP:
  • Take white tissue paper and stamp your image on it
  • Punch it out with your circle punch (put card stock behind the tissue before your punch it)
  • Poke a hole in the center (eyeball it) with your paper piercer
  • Thread it over the wick and heat with the Heat Tool until wax melts around it
So quick and so easy but a big WOW when given as a gift.  Be sure to check out what the other UDI team members came up with this week.

Simple Christmas

This is a simple Christmas gift idea for teachers.  Simple mugs with Decor Elements on them.  I also used my Scallop Square die for the Big Shot with some of our fabric to make the coaster.  I made the green mug for my brother's girlfriend, Becca, when we met her for the first time.  We made the white mug in my Christmas gift class.

Our Family Ornament

Yesterday I showed you a tree ornament.  This is the ornament I made for our family tree.  I used the same idea but added some glitter.  I also forgot to add yesterday that I sealed it when I was done with an acrylic sealer.  I used our Circle Scissor to cut out our family picture and Mod Podged it on.

Ornaments "Stamped" up

These are great ornaments I have made for my team for Christmas.  I love how they turned out.  I got this idea from my upline who found it on cyberspace somewhere so I am not sure who the credit goes to.  If  it is you, please let me know.

I bought a ceramic ornament at our local craft store and painted it with 2 coats of ceramic paint (in acrylic paint section).  Then I stamped my image with Versamark pad and embossed it in gold.  I added ribbon and you have a beautiful ornament.

A Christmas Trio

I saw the basic idea of this card on our Demonstrator exclusive site.  I loved it and changed it up a bit.  What an easy card using our Ornament punch.  I love our punches.  It means I don't have to cut anything out!!  Time savers.  I am always looking for quick short cuts.  What about those rhinestones?  Sparkly.

A Bag of Tags

This was a project we did at my Christmas gift class in November.  What a great way to use the Tags Til Christmas stamp set.  You don't have to cut anything, just use those punches!
