Birthday Owl

This was a quick and easy make and take I did at an outdoor joint open house this month.  I love the simplicity.  I wanted to use retiring papers and colors so I used Razzleberry Lemonade DSP with Dusty Durango.  I cut my Whisper White 6" x 3" to make my 3x3 card.

Birthday Builder Bag

It has been a  long time since I decorated a gift bag but May's Club was the opportunity I was looking for.  This was one of their projects.  The topper is not attached, it just fits over the top so it can be reused.  Just add some ribbon and you are done! The NEW builder wheels made this topper very quick, easy and colorful.   The cupcake on the front is using the Big Bold Cupcakes dies for the Big Shot!

UPDATE: 101563: Sage Shadow card stock (8-1/2" x 11")  is no longer available for purchase.  Inventory has been depleted.

Retiring Colors: DON'T WAIT!

As many of you already know, Stampin' Up! is retiring 30 colors.  These will no longer be available in the new catalog.  However, demand for these colors has been very high.  At this point, if you order the regular card stock you may get some textured card stock with it.  Card stock is running out fast so don't wait to place your order.  Do it now so you can get what you want!  Be aware that many of these items may be back ordered.

Textured Stencil- UDI Inspiration Challenge #95

I love how these cards turned out!  I got inspiration from about 4 other cards I have seen and seemed to use it all with these cards for the UDI challenge this week.  I have been stumped with the past challenge or two and I have been surprised with what I have come up with.  I know I am not taking these literally but it is truly and interesting process to see what I end up with each week.

Tip:
I used the stencil and sponged the color with sponge daubers and ink pads.  Then I stamped my define your life over top of the stencil and pressed down hard.  I ran it through the Big Shot using the new Square Lattice embossing folder from the Summer Mini Catalog (love it).  I added a little more using the Gold Smootch Spritz from the Summer Mini as well.

Keep Stamping,

Supplies:
Stamps: Define Your Life
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Not Quite Navy, Creamy Caramel
Paper: Kraft, Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Creamy Caramel

Memo Board

Yes, some of these products are retired now but the idea is great!  I have seen this idea with roof flashing that is already cut to this size.  I was all excited to cover these and make cute magnets.  Well, come to find out that whatever I bought is not magnetic so I added post-it notes to hang up.  I used the Crop-a-dile to punch my holes and add my jumbo eyelets.  I will still be working on lots of ideas for this flashing because I had to buy 100 of them.  Keep and eye out for it in other projects.

UDI Inspiration 94-Stretching It

Okay, for the UDI inspiration challenge this week I really stretched it.  When I saw this I thought of food/entertaining.  I have had a wooden recipe box sitting around and when I saw this I pulled it out and covered it.  I pulled in some of the orange but that is where it ends.  You never know where your mind will go when you see these challenges.  They have taken me to some interesting places so have fun with it! I did use the recently retired Sweet Pea DSP that is not available anymore but it is a favorite of mine.  Be sure to check out what the other team members came up with this week.
