Postage Father's Day

When I saw this Postage Due stamp set I knew I had to have it.  It can be more girlie but also an easy masculine look, which can  be hard for me:)  Who doesn't love the new Morning Post Alphabet?  LOVE it!  This is a Father's Day card we made for club this month.  There was also a birthday adaptation card if a Father's Day card was not needed that I will share later.  We used the new Stampin' Spritzer as well with this card.  I mixed rubbing alcohol and drops of the Cajun Craze reinker.  I really love how these spray and I can't wait to mix up some more colors!

Bugs and Kisses

I have been wanting to spend some time on some sketch challenges and today was the day!  I had so much fun making this card for the Stamping 411 challenge.  My goal was to use a set or two that have been neglected so out came the bugs!  My son loves the cards I make but I am sure this will be one of his favorites.  He is 2 and one of his favorite things to do outside is play with bugs.  I feel so bad for the poor bugs because he is a little rough and most don't make it after he is done with them.  I am sure they see him and run the other direction.

R2D2 is Feeling Punchy

It is my nephew's 5th birthday was Sunday and he is all into Star Wars.  I decided to use our punches to make an R2D2.  I was excited with how it turned out.  I added some "stars" using our new rhinestone jewels and then topped it off with a birthday sentiment.

On the Green

I have the hardest time coming up with masculine cards.  This is a swap I did for convention.  As soon as I saw this stamp, On the Green, in the a la carte section of the new catalog I knew I HAD to have it.  My father in law is a BIG golfer and now I can use this stamp for him.

Belated Father's Day Post

I realized that I did not get this card posted before Father's Day.  This was the card I made for my Father-In-Law.  I used the retiring DSP, To the Nines to make this shirt.

Father's Day Gift Card Holder

Father's Day is tomorrow and this is the card I came up with.  This was also a club project in June.  I have seen these cards but I wanted to make one that would fit in a standard invitation size envelope.  I used the measuring tape from Totally Tool to make the "d" and the "a" is from Jumble Alphabet.  I used the retiring Close to Cocoa and Ruby Red card stocks.

MEASUREMENTS: Take a 5 1/2" x 12" sheet of card stock.  Fold it in half at 6".  Then score in from each side 4 1/4".  Make a "W" with it and add sticky strip along the back bottom holding it together.  Use the Word Window punch to punch out a space on the inside that is large enough to hold a gift card.

HAVE A WONDERFUL FATHER'S DAY TOMORROW!

Masculine Dad

I joined a masculine swap recently and this is the card I came up with. My dad is Mr. Handyman and so I always have a use for Totally Tool. I used the Texture Plates Kit # 4 for the background but I added a little detail to make it look more like wood. I used my brayer and Chocolate Chip ink on the texture plate before running it through the Big Shot. I will be saving this for my Dad's birthday in June.

UDI Autumn Inspriation

Here is my take on the UDI inspiration challenge this week. I love any that involve the fall season. It is my favorite. Make sure to check out what the other team members did this week. I used the Cracked glass technique to add some shiny/reflection look to my card. I used watercolor paper and stamped and water colored my image. Then I stamped Versamark over the top of my whole sheet. I added glassy glaze enamel and heat set it. While the enamel was still hot I added more and heat set it. Do this 3 or 4 times. Let it dry and then bend the paper to "crack the glass".

He Who Has the Most Tools

I love UDI's Inspiration Challenge picture this week! My dad is a very "handy" man to have around and any time he visits we work on something around the house. I grew up with Mr. Fix-It and now love being able to fix things on my own (sometimes). To make the silver hammer and wrench, I put Versamark pad all over my paper and then embossed in silver. I layered 3 or 4 times and then stamp your image in the Versamark pad and stamp onto the layered embossing while it is still hot. Let it cool and cut out your image. Very Cool! Be sure to check out what the rest of the team came up with.

Happy Bearthday

This is a "Bearthday" card for a little boy turning 3. I stamped my image on Pawsitively Prints DSP and then cut it out to give him his clothes. I used the same DSP for an accent on the bottom of the image. I colored the bear in with the Creamy Caramel Stampin' Write marker and added my sentiment.

Thank You Beary Much: Inspiration Challenge #66

I saw this UDI inspiration challenge and was inspired by the colors. I chose to use Night of Navy and Crushed Curry for my card. I also got to use my Circle Scissor Plus and love learning how to use it now that I have Dotto to keep my card stock in place. Just a little helpful tip. Remember to check the UDI blog to see what the other inspiration challenge members came up with this week.

Punched Hot Air Balloon

I love to use the new Sweet Centers stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I wanted to use this set without having to use the sweet treat cups. I saw a card made by lbrown on Splitcoaststampers.com and loved it. I used the hot air balloon idea and changed most everything else. I love how it turned out. It can be used for men, women, boys and girls. Add a sentiment and use it for a multitude of other projects. This was one of our club projects earlier on this month.

You Sawed and you Fixed

My parents are coming this weekend to help on my stamp space and my husband's new shed! My dad is a civil engineer and a handy man to have around. I was brought up fixing and building. I love when they come to visit! This is a card I made to thank him for helping us yet again. I love how it came out. I was actually inspired to make this card by the Mojo Monday sketch this week.
