I have stored my 8 1/2" x 11" paper this way for years and I have found it to be the perfect way for me. I keep full sheets in the file dividers and I keep scraps in hanging files under my desk. I have also decided to store my stamp sets standing up like books. I have added a label with the name of the stamp set on the side and have lined them up by size. I like this much better because stamps sets are easy to find and then easy to put back.
