My Favorite Colors

As the title states, I was using my favorite colors, a turquoise and brown. This card is a regular invitation size card but scored and adhered down at the top with ribbon tied around it. When you open the card, it looks more square because of this. I scored the card at 4 1/4".

Hostess Set

When you hostess a workshop in your home, you can earn free stamp sets depending on the sales. This card is made using a level 2 hostess set, Echoes of Kindness. I copied this card from one I saw on another site by Vivian. I loved the idea. I am using this for my Card Buffet as well. I think it is beautiful how you can use 2 colors of markers to get the shading on the flower.

Baroque Elegance

This is a card that will be used in my Card Buffet. I needed simple but elegant. This is what I came up with. I love using Baroque Motifs because it does not take much to look beautiful.

Botanical Blooms

I love this card using another Sale-a-bration set, Botanical Blooms. I looked at our Color Coach to figure out what colors to use together. I chose Apricot Appeal and Pumpkin Pie. I added a little detail to the Scallop Edge by using the 1/16" punch. Then using my favorite accessory, I added ribbon.

Masculine Lovely As a Tree

This was another attempt at a masculine card. This was a card that we did in my Birthday Card Class. The technique is "rock and roll" was to stamp the tree in More Mustard and then stamp it in the Garden Green pad to get the two tone look.

Simple Thank You

Once again I saw this idea from another demonstrator. It is such a simple card but it makes a statement. Not all cards need to take a lot of time or effort. This card uses a background stamp, Pretty Petals.

Mojo Monday on Sunday #74

I found a Blog that sets up sketches each Monday. I hope to continue to do this once a week to get my creative juices flowing. However, this was for LAST Monday and here I am posting it on Sunday. This may be a trend. We will wait and see.

It is hard to tell in the pictures but I used the texturz plates on the turquoise strips to give them a little something extra.

I love this new set, Good Friend. These are some cards I made as a thank you for a friend. I love the DSP paper and the little birdie. These were very quick and easy, one other reason I LOVE our Designer Series Paper.

By the way I want to thank my sister, the photographer, for explaining to me how to get clearer pictures. You can see the difference the past few days. The pictures are no longer blurry. Thanks Kym!!

Through the Seasons

This is a new Stampin' Up! set, Trendy Trees! I had so much fun with this set. However, I know I am one that says I never use the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I need it for this set to line everything up! I had to teach myself how to use it again. I played with my textured background again with my Big Shot and it shows up well in this picture. If you spray a small amount of water on your cardstock before you run it through the Big Shot it really brings out the embossed image better. I now have a spray bottle of water sitting next to my Big Shot.

Sponging with Embossing

This card was so fun to make! I sponged in different colors on Whisper White cardstock and then embossed with black over the top of it. Look out Stamp Club. We will be doing something like this in March. You will LOVE it!

This is actually the valentine card I made for my husband. I know, a little girly, but hey he got a card! I just got in my BIG order and was playing with some of my new toys. You can't tell, but I used the new texture plates for the Big Shot on the red cardstock (so cool). I also used my new clear rhinestone brads for the middle of the hearts.

More Two-Stepping

Can you tell I have enjoyed playing with my Flight of the Butterfly stamp set? This is another simple card made with the two-step stamping technique. Have

you noticed that I don't do difficult projects? If it is going to take a long time, you probably won't see me doing it. Like many of you, being the mom of two takes up most of my time so I do things quickly.

Spotlight Technique

Sorry for the fuzzy picture. I could not get it any clearer. I used the spotlight technique for this card. I stamped my image in Night of Navy. I then stamped again on scrap paper without reinking (each stamp pad has at least 3 colors) my image. That is the lighter color. Using the

1 1/4" circle punch I punched it out, layered it and laid it on top of the original image. I am "spotlighting" that part of the flowers.

Rose Red Butterfly

Once again, I copied the idea from another Demonstrator. I changed the colors. It is a simple card that you could add any sentiment to. This is using two-step stamping. The background of the butterfly is a lighter pink. I then stamped in a darker pink over top with the flowers.

Big Flowers

This was a card done at my Stamp club. Again, I saw the idea posted and used the idea to make my own. It is a regular sized card with a few inches cut on top. You the 1 3/8" circle punch and only punch out half the circle. That will go underneath the Scallop punch. Put your Scallop punch on with a dimensional to make it stand out. Did I make this as clear as mud? It really is an easy card. Try it and see.

Cupcake with a Cherry on Top

I saw this cupcake and loved it! It comes with words on it for a thank you and I got it for when my daughter is old enough to use it. For this I stamped on Whisper white and stamped again on Chocolate Chip and cut them out. I flipped the Choc. Chip over so you don't see the words. I used the crimper to add some texture to the bottom of the cupcake. I also had to do something special with the cherry so I added Crystal Effects to make it 3-D and glossy and then sprinkled Dazzling Diamond Glitter over top while it was still wet to add some sparkle. This could be a birthday card for anyone you know.

Big Shot Petal Card Heart Pouch

I love using my BIG SHOT! I used the petal card die and made a heart shaped goodie holder. Did I mention I LOVE my Big Shot! I saw this idea on another blog and had to try it. It was so easy.

Upsy Daisy Two-Tone Color

This is a two stamp pad technique with the flowers. Stamp your image into a lighter color first and then lightly roll it around in a darker color and stamp. It makes a beautiful card. Then add ribbon and designer series paper and you are set.

Inspired by Nature (Adding a Step)

This picture turned out slightly fuzzy but you can get the main idea. I used the same Inspired By Nature set as yesterday's post but added a step. I stamped the image in the bashful blue and then added close to cocoa with a sponge dauber onto the stamp. I stamped the image over top of the grass and used my aqua painter to blend the two colors together. Add some eyelets on the top and you are done!

I love this stamp set! Who said a beautiful card had to be difficult? I saw this idea on another site and fell in love with it. I changed it some but I love brown and using the two browns together is such a great idea! I think I will go and stamp a few more of these to mail out. (TIP: Stamp 4-8 of the same card at a time and don't add any words. When an occasion comes up you already have the card ready, you just need to add the perfect saying.)

Glossy Upsy Daisy

This is a technique that does not show up well in the picture. It uses Glossy cardstock and you use sponges to rub on color. I then stamped on top with Basic Brown and it is a beautiful card. I love this 5/8" grosgrain ribbon!

Playing with Rub-Ons

I have had the Hidden Garden Rub-ons and have been waiting to play with them. I used the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and the flower and thank you are the rub-ons. They were so easy to use and I can't wait to play with them some more.
