Before and After

I just had the best time this past weekend.  I went, by myself, to my sister's house.  I left the kids home with Daddy and she had Daddy-O watch her kids while I was there.  She is now only a 6 hour drive away and I went with the sole purpose to unpack and organize her stamp space.  However, I got to see my 3 nieces, my brother in law and Molly, the dog.  I saw the new house and did a LOT of shopping with my sister.  Oh yeah, and we organized and set up her stamp space.  I had my first visit to IKEA!  WOW, we spent at least 3 hours in that store.  I was like a kid in a candy store.  Look at our before and after and let me know what you think.

What a Great Idea!

Kim, one of my team members, came up with this idea and shared it with me.  I asked if I could feature it here because it is fantastic!  Kim had her grandson paint masterpieces on paper.  When it dried she cut them into circles and used Designer Series paper and made monogram cards out of them for her daughter.  I will totally be copying this idea.  My kids are 4 and 2 and LOVE to color, paint and draw.  I can't wait to work on some of these for myself.

Take a Spin Birthday Box

You know how you start with an idea in your head and then you make your project and it does not turn out at all the way you were expecting?  Well, that is what happened with this box.  I used the box die for the Big Shot and cut off the top.  I used the Scallop Square die as well.  I decorated it with the Take a Spin stamp set from the current Mini Catalog.  I used markers on the stamp to get my three colors and was going for a masculine look.  This is great to put money or a gift card in for birthdays.  In fact I will be using it for a birthday coming up.

A Look Inside a Large Private Class

Last week I had a wonderful time stamping with Krystal and her friends during Krystal's private class/workshop.  Krystal chose to have her class in a room she could reserve.  She had about 20 friends there and a wonderful array of food.  I have to say thank you to Krystal for hosting but also for assisting with one of our projects for the evening.  A big thank you to Rita, a friend of Krystal, and Kristin, a friend and team member of mine for helping with the projects as well.  It would not have gone so smoothly with out you all.  I had a great time and hope everyone else did too.

Take a Spin with Glitter

This was our other club card this month.  We used the Take a Spin set from the Mini Catalog.  Our technique was using the Heat and Stick powder.  We used a Versamarker and added our Heat and Stick powder and heated it up using the Heat tool.  When it was sticky we added the Dazzling Diamonds glitter, my favorite!

Not Your Traditional Easter

This was a club card we did this month using the Nature Walk stamp set.  I love how it turned out.  We added a vintage look by using the direct to paper technique where you put the stamp pad directly on the paper.  The girls loved this one.

Workshop Make and Take

On Thursday I am looking forward to Krystal's workshop.  She has a lot of friends coming and this is one project we are going to make using Circle Circus.  This is a monochromatic card using Rich Razzleberry.  I want to thank Ami, one of my team members, for this great idea.  You will see her card shown here in a few days.  I LOVE it!

February Meeting Make and Takes

This is the last post of our February group meeting.  These were our make and takes at the meeting.  Rene used the make and take from Leadership to design these beautiful clear stamp cases (you can buy them in a set for projects, to hold your markers or pearls and rhinestones).  They were so fun to make and we made a matching pen and added a junior legal pad inside that was cut down 1".

I posted the chocolate box in an earlier post HERE.  This was made using the Matchbox die for the big shot machine.

Springtime Vintage Fabric, A Sewing Machine and ME!

Right now I am like the best mom in the whole world.  I guess we will see how long it lasts.  I say that the artistic and creative gene loses something each generation in my family.  My Grandmother is a fantastic seamstress, quilter and crafter extraordinaire.  My mom is the same but not as often.  She made our clothes, knits, cross stitches and stamps of course!  I can stamp and sew straight curtains and pillows (just don't look too close at the straightness of the lines).  Well, look what I did.  I found directions for this skirt online and my mom and I went to work.  I used my mom for assistance on my daughter's skirt but I sewed everything!  I then went on to making Kit's (the doll) matching skirt, all on my own!  Can you believe it.  I LOVE this fabric.  Then, just to test myself I guess, I made a pattern to make Kit the matching shirt.  I am now ready to work on MY matching skirt.  I will share that when I actually get it made.

Sweet Gift

More from our February meeting.  This was a little favor filled with Hershey kisses that Rene made for all of us.  I can't wait to take it apart so I can copy it and make my own.

Crimped Chocolate

Here is another project I did at a February workshop.  Can you tell I LOVE chocolate.  I figure chocolate always makes you smile.  This is a small Hershey bar covered with Designer  Series Paper and crimped on each end with our paper crimper and decorated with the Create a Cupcake stamp set and coordinating punch!  Quick, easy and a great party favor.

Coordinating Birthday

These were 2 projects we did at one of my February workshops.  As you can see I made coordinating projects using the same colors, Build a Cupcake Punch and Create a Cupcake stamp set.  I think everyone enjoyed the evening of stamping and socializing.  Thank you Rita for being such a wonderful hostess!

Name tags

Aren't these BEAUTIFUL!  These name tags were one of our February meeting make and takes.  I love the design that my upline Rene came up with.  The colors are perfect.  Can you see we are all just waiting for spring?  The paper daisies just add that little extra with the Antique Brad in the center.  Now I just need to remember to wear it to each meeting.

So Inspired

This is a card we did at one of my February workshops.  I LOVE how it turned out.  I found the layout idea from my friend and fellow demonstrator Jill Hilliard.  She has a beautiful simple stamping style continues to inspire me.  I used one of the stamps from Punch Bunch which you can earn FREE by placing a $50 order before shipping and tax.
