Article in the local paper

Stampin' Up! sent all Founder's Circle winners a press release for us to send in to our local media.  I went out of my comfort zone and e-mailed it in with a picture.  Much to my surprise I was written back  very quickly with 5 questions to answer.  To my surprise, I ended up on the front cover of the business section of our local paper, The Herald Citizen, yesterday.  I just wanted to share!
(I also wanted to point out that my sister, Kym, took the picture at our beach trip this year.)

COOKEVILLE -- Local Stampin' Up demonstrator and businesswoman Katy Zamer was recently     recognized with an invitation to attend the company's annual Founder's Circle retreat.

"I was very excited and overwhelmed when I found out I received this award," Zamer said. "It was a jumping up and down and tearful moment, all at the same time."

Founder's Circle members are the top achievers in several different achievement award   categories. Zamer was honored specifically in a category of Rising Star. This award is presented to those demonstrators who have shown leadership and a balanced, successful approach in developing their business during their first full Stampin' Up! year as a demonstrator.

"(This award) is only given to the top 15 demonstrators in the company for first year demonstrators. It is an award I have been working toward throughout the year, but still, I did not expect to win!"

Zamer found out about Stampin' Up! many years ago through a friend's workshop.

"We (my mom and I) had never heard of Stampin' Up! and figured it'd be too expensive and too hard, but it was neither," Zamer said. "We were hooked and the rest is history. I had no idea back then what a blessing being a part of the company would be to me and my family. It has moved with us, introduced me to some wonderful friends, and really allowed me to now be a stay-at-home mom while still being able to contribute to our family income."

Zamer has been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for a total of 10 years, but when she and her family moved to Cookeville three years ago, she had to drop as a demonstrator and then be able to sign back up six months later.

"Because I had dropped, Stampin' Up! viewed me as a brand new demonstrator," Zamer explained. "The team I had built the first seven years was gone and I had to start over. I had to meet new customers and build my team."

Zamer will join other demonstrators from the United States and Canada for a relaxing and inspiring stay in St. George, Utah. Also in attendance will be Stampin' Up! cofounder and CEO Shelli Gardner.

"One of the highlights of my year is our annual Founder's Circle. The demonstrators who earn this prestigious trip have worked hard and deserve to be rewarded, and Founder's Circle does exactly that. During this three-day retreat to southern Utah, we pamper and spoil these women, who have contributed so much to Stampin' Up!'s success. We want them to know how much we appreciate their hard work and commitment by giving them an experience they will remember for years to come."

Earning a spot in the Founder's Club is one of the most sought-after awards for Stampin' Up! demonstrators, who recognize the deep respect these businesspeople receive. These demonstrators exemplify all that Stampin' Up! represents and work hard to share their love for creativity and stamping with others as they strive to make a difference in the world around them.
